What works where

Sort Feed works on four platforms, and not every platform gives up the same numbers. This page is the reference: which pages you can sort, what you can rank them by, and what each one can't do.

The short version

Instagram is the most complete. It sorts profiles, search results and saved collections, it downloads and transcribes, and it's the only platform you can sort from Claude or ChatGPT.

It's also the only platform with Similar accounts, which suggests the next profile to sort once a profile sort finishes, and the only one with Save, which keeps the posts worth coming back to.

TikTok is close behind, with the widest set of metrics: shares and saves are both there. Facebook covers reels only. YouTube sorts and exports, and does not download or transcribe.

  • Instagram: profile Posts, profile Reels, Explore search, Saved All Posts, and a single Saved collection.
  • TikTok: profile Videos, search results, Favorites, Liked, and a single collection.
  • Facebook: reels on a profile, your own reels, and saved reels.
  • YouTube: Videos and Shorts on any channel.

What you can sort by

The Sort by list changes with the platform, because each one exposes a different set of counts. Every platform has Views, Likes, Outlier score and Oldest.

  • Instagram adds Comments.
  • TikTok adds Comments, Shares and Saves, the fullest set of the four.
  • Facebook adds Comments and Shares.
  • YouTube has Views, Likes, Outlier score and Oldest, and nothing else.

What isn't tracked everywhere

Some numbers are missing from the data a page hands over, so Sort Feed blocks the sort rather than ranking on a column full of blanks. When that happens you get a message naming the sort to use instead.

  • Instagram Posts tab has no view counts. Sort by likes there, or switch to Reels.
  • Instagram Explore search has no view counts, no date filters, and no All Posts.
  • Instagram Saved has no date filters. All Posts also has no views and no comments; a collection has no views.
  • TikTok search and the saved surfaces have no date filters. Search also has no All TikToks.
  • Facebook blocks date filters on saved reels and on your own reels.
  • YouTube sorts only from the Latest tab, not Popular or Oldest.

Beyond sorting

Downloading, transcribing, saving, the player and Sort Feed MCP each cover a different set of platforms. Plans & billing covers which of them need Pro.

  • Downloading works on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, from a sorted grid and while you browse normally.
  • Transcription works on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, one video at a time or in bulk.
  • Saving works on Instagram only for now, from a sorted grid, while you browse, and in the player.
  • The player works on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, on every surface Sort Feed sorts there. YouTube opens a new tab.
  • Sort Feed MCP sorts Instagram profiles, Explore search, Saved All Posts and single Saved collections from Claude or ChatGPT, and no other platform yet.
  • Exports, Copy, Google Sheets and Select mode work everywhere, YouTube included.

Outlier score coverage

Outlier score needs one creator's own history to measure against, so it runs on profiles and nowhere else. Search results, saved lists and collections mix creators, and a median across several accounts means nothing.

On Instagram it works on the Posts and Reels tabs, scoring on likes and views respectively. On TikTok it's the Videos tab, on Facebook the profile Reels tab, and on YouTube both Videos and Shorts.

Each platform has its own page with the exact URLs, the tabs that work, and the quirks worth knowing: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
