Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Sort Feed, covering the extension, your subscription, and the platforms you use it on.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Overview

These Terms govern your use of the Sort Feed extension, the website at sortfeed.com, the account portal at account.sortfeed.com, and your saved posts at app.sortfeed.com. Installing or using Sort Feed means you accept them.

Sort Feed is operated by Taher El Sheikh, in San Francisco, California, and "we" below means the same. If you do not accept these Terms, uninstall the extension and stop using the site.

About Sort Feed

Sort Feed is a Chrome extension that adds a research layer to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. It re-orders a feed you can already see, and puts export, download, transcription and playback around it.

It does not replace those platforms or reach anything you could not open yourself. Every sort runs on a page you are already signed into and looking at. The only platform content we keep is what you choose to save, described below.

Sort Feed is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Meta, ByteDance or Google, or with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or YouTube.

What Sort Feed Does

Coverage differs by platform. In the current release:

Sort
Ranks a profile, a search or a saved collection by views, likes, comments, date or outlier score, plus shares and saves where the platform reports them. All four platforms.
Export
Takes the sorted rows out as CSV, JSON, Excel or a Google Sheet, with transcripts included on Pro. All four platforms.
Download
Saves videos and images to your device, one at a time or in bulk. Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Transcribe
Turns a video's audio into text, one at a time or across a selection. Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Player
Plays a sorted post in place, without losing your position in the grid. Instagram only.
Save
Keeps the posts you choose, with copies of their media, in your Sort Feed account, where you can organize, export and share them. Instagram only.

This describes the current release rather than a permanent commitment. Features are added, changed and occasionally retired as the platforms move.

Free Plan and Pro

Sort Feed is free to use, with no account and no card. The free plan sorts the latest 25 posts or one week of content, exports what it sorts, and downloads without limit.

Pro removes the post and date limits, adds custom post counts and date ranges, puts transcripts in your exports, and includes unlimited transcription on monthly and yearly plans. It is $10 a month billed yearly, or $15 month to month.

Save is on every plan. The free plan holds up to 50 saved posts and 3 collections, and Pro and lifetime plans have no limit. If Pro ends, your saved posts are kept, but new saves wait until you are under the free limit.

Unlimited transcription is subject to fair use limits that protect the service from abuse: up to 500 minutes of video a day and 5,000 minutes a month for each account. Lifetime plans include 150 minutes of transcription a month. Limits reset at the start of each day or month and do not roll over.

Billing and cancellation

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them.
  • Cancel at any time from account.sortfeed.com or through the Lemon Squeezy billing portal.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Payments are not refundable, except where the law requires it.
  • Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for every purchase, and its terms apply to the transaction itself.
  • We may change prices with reasonable notice. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Your Account

Pro needs an account. You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email address, and the extension picks your Pro access up from there.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to the mailbox it uses. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.

An account is for one person. License keys and Pro access may not be shared, resold or distributed. Team and multi-seat use needs a separate arrangement with us.

Acceptable Use

Sort Feed is built for content research: finding what performed, studying a niche, and planning what to make next. Use it lawfully, and within these Terms.

You agree not to use Sort Feed to:

  • Collect data at a scale or in a manner that breaks the terms of the platform you are on.
  • Build a profile of a private individual, or harass, stalk or target anyone.
  • Republish downloaded, transcribed or saved content as your own, or in breach of someone's copyright.
  • Use share links to redistribute other people's content or to run a public archive of it.
  • Resell its output as a data product or feed it to one.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the extension.
  • Work around plan limits, quotas or access checks.

We decide what counts as a breach of this section, and we may act on it without notice.

The Platforms You Use It On

Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube each have their own terms, and following them is your responsibility. Sort Feed cannot grant you rights on someone else's platform, and we are not responsible for action a platform takes against your account.

Platforms also change without notice, and a change can break a feature overnight. We repair breakages as quickly as we can, but we cannot promise uninterrupted compatibility with services we do not control.

Content and Intellectual Property

The extension, the website, the name and the design belong to us. You may not copy, resell, or make derivative works from them without written permission.

Posts, videos, images and captions you reach through Sort Feed belong to the people who made them. Downloading, transcribing or saving something gives you no licence to it. What you do with that material is your responsibility, and copyright law applies to it exactly as it did before.

Save keeps a copy of a post for your own research. A share link is for showing that research to the people you send it to, not for publishing the content more widely, and you are responsible for the links you share.

If content you own appears on a Sort Feed share link and you want it removed, email taher@sortfeed.com with the link. We may remove saved content or turn a share link off when we receive a valid complaint, or when a link breaks these Terms.

Disclaimers and Liability

Sort Feed is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or compatible with every browser version or platform change.

Metrics come from the platforms themselves and are shown as they arrive. We do not verify them, and an outlier score is an estimate rather than a measurement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taher El Sheikh is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of Sort Feed, including lost data, lost revenue, or the standing of your social accounts. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid for Sort Feed in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop at any time. Uninstall the extension, and cancel any subscription from your account portal.

We may suspend or end your access for a breach of these Terms, for suspected fraud or payment abuse, or where the law requires it. Your licence to use Sort Feed ends with it. Terms that are meant to outlive the agreement, including intellectual property, disclaimers and governing law, continue to apply.

Affiliate Program

Sort Feed runs an affiliate program that pays a recurring commission on subscribers you refer. The details are at sortfeed.com/affiliates, and they form part of these Terms for anyone who joins.

Commissions are tracked and paid through Lemon Squeezy. We may change or close the program at any time, and we may withhold commission on referrals we believe to be fraudulent, self referred, or driven by spam or by bidding on our brand terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what Sort Feed collects, what stays in your browser, and how to have your data deleted. It is part of these Terms, and it is at sortfeed.com/privacy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes arising under them belong to the state and federal courts of California, and you agree to that venue.

Changes to These Terms

We update these Terms as the product changes. When we do, the date at the top moves, and material changes are sent to subscribers by email or shown in the extension. Using Sort Feed after a change takes effect means you accept it.
